Both the Tesla Cybertruck and the Apple Vision Pro Virtual Reality glasses have attracted the same audience of enthusiasts for futuristic products.

However, after a driver was filmed wearing the Apple Vision Pro glasses while driving the Tesla Cybertruck, people were so shocked that U.S. Secretary of Transportation, Pete Buttigieg, issued a warning on his social media.

“Reminder: ALL advanced driver assistance systems available today require the human driver to always be in control and fully engaged in the task of driving,” Buttigieg wrote on his X profile (Twitter).

Apple also took the opportunity to emphasize that the glasses should not be used during the operation of any moving vehicle, let alone a nearly 3,000 kg electric pickup truck.

The Apple Vision Pro glasses require at least some attention and hand usage from the driver, two things that should always be ready, even in an impressive but far from autonomous modern steering assistance system.
